Jesse Litsch was activated from the 60-day DL by the Blue Jays and was outrighted. Rather than accept an assignment to the Minors, Litsch has elected for free agency. Litsch would have had a lot of arms to compete with for a rotation spot with the Jays and the bullpen is looking pretty set.
Litsch was one of the longest-serving Jays prior to this news who had at times been an effective member of the Jays’ rotation. His 2012 season was lost when his shoulder became infected following an injection in the Spring.
