Infield Fly Rule Effectively Ruins First Year of New Wild Card Format

Not that the Braves didn’t make 3 errors and deserve to lose anyways, but the Atlanta-St. Louis game will forever live in infamy because a late invocation of the infield fly rule and an odd definition of ‘ordinary effort’ turned what should have been a bases-loaded situation with one out into a 1st and 2nd with 2 outs situation. There is nothing you can do about it though. No robot would be capable of making a judgement call. The ump simply got it wrong. They’re human.
